1. General Provisions

This Refund and Cancellation Policy (hereinafter “Policy”) establishes the detailed procedures for refunding funds, canceling orders, and providing partial or full reimbursement for the purchase, prepayment, subscription, or use of any educational products and services on the CursoSphere.mx platform.

The Policy has been developed in accordance with current Mexican legislation, including the Ley Federal de Protección al Consumidor, recommendations of governmental authorities, and best international practices for consumer rights protection.

Use of the platform by the user implies full agreement with this Policy and an obligation to comply with its provisions.

2. Scope of Application

The Policy applies to all types of transactions and services on the Platform, including but not limited to:

  • Purchase of individual online courses;
  • Purchase of package offers and subscriptions;
  • Sale and publication of courses by authors and instructors;
  • Prepayment for educational services and consultations;
  • Any other services provided through the Platform.

All refunds are processed exclusively through official platform payment channels and in compliance with third-party payment provider rules (Stripe, PayPal, and others).

3. Refund Conditions

3.1. Full Refund:

  • Available within 14 calendar days from the course purchase date, provided that the user has not actively started the course or accessed more than 20% of the content.
  • Full refund is only possible if the Platform’s usage terms are respected and no violations of rules or laws have occurred.
  • Full refund is also available in case of technical issues or errors preventing full use of the course, confirmed by customer support.

3.2. Partial Refund:

  • Applicable if the user has started the course but has not completed it, and the refund request is made before 50% of the content is completed.
  • The amount of the partial refund is calculated proportionally to the remaining, uncompleted portion of the course.
  • Partial refunds do not cover bonuses, promotions, or discount offers.

3.3. Order Cancellation:

  • Users may cancel an order before payment confirmation by the payment provider.
  • After transaction completion, cancellation is only possible under refund rules and this Policy.
  • Order cancellation does not release the user from compliance with the Platform’s Terms of Use.
  • In case of mass errors or technical failures, the Company reserves the right to initiate automatic order cancellations with user notifications.

4. Refund Exceptions

No refund will be provided in the following cases:

  • The user has fully completed the course or accessed all educational materials;
  • Violation of Platform rules, including fraud, creating multiple accounts to bypass refund conditions, or copyright infringement;
  • Courses purchased with promo codes, campaigns, or special offers if the campaign conditions exclude refunds;
  • Violation of laws or regulations related to Platform use;
  • Specific exceptions stated in the description of the individual course.

5. Refund Procedure

  1. Users submit an official refund request via the platform form or the Company’s email.
  2. The request must include:
    • Full name and contact information;
    • Order number and purchase date;
    • Reason for the refund request;
    • Confirmation of agreement with this Policy.
  1. The Company reviews the request within 5–10 business days and may request additional information if necessary.
  2. Upon approval, the refund is processed through the same payment method used for the purchase, considering the payment provider’s processing times.
  3. Users receive notification of the refund status, estimated credit date, and details of any partial refund.
  4. The Company reserves the right to request evidence of course usage or confirmation of compliance with refund conditions.

6. Interaction with Payment Providers

  • All transactions are processed through certified third-party payment systems.
  • The Company does not store user payment details and is not responsible for delays or failures in refund processing by payment providers.
  • Any disputes arising on the side of the payment provider are resolved according to the provider’s rules.
  • The Company provides assistance by supplying all necessary information for resolving disputes with the payment provider.

7. Refund Timelines

  • After approval, funds are usually credited within 5–15 business days depending on the payment system.
  • In exceptional cases, timelines may be extended due to banking procedures, force majeure, or technical issues of the payment provider.
  • The Company commits to informing the user about any delays and the reasons for them.

8. Refunds for Subscriptions, Packages, and Bundles

  • Refunds for subscriptions or package offers are calculated proportionally to the amount of uncompleted content or remaining subscription period.
  • If part of a package has been used, the refund is provided for the unused portion.
  • Special offers, gift certificates, campaigns, and bonuses may have separate refund conditions, published in course descriptions or promotional materials.

9. User Responsibility

  • Users must provide accurate information when requesting a refund.
  • Attempts at fraud, submission of false information, or violation of Platform terms result in denial of refund and possible account suspension.
  • Users are responsible for submitting requests timely and providing necessary documentation for refund processing.

10. Limitations and Special Cases

  • Users who abuse the right to refunds may face restrictions in accessing the Platform.
  • Refunds for courses purchased through third-party channels or partner programs are handled according to the terms of those programs and coordinated with the Platform.
  • Refunds related to technical failures or system errors are reviewed individually and may include compensation in the form of credits or additional services.

11. Policy Updates

  • The Company reserves the right to modify refund and cancellation conditions at any time.
  • The updated version becomes effective upon publication on the Platform.
  • Users are responsible for regularly reviewing the current Policy and complying with its terms.
